ELECTRICAL ENGINEER 

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME

WEEKLY HOURS: 40 HOURS

TIME CONDITIONS: DAY SHIFT

SALARY: R22,000 - R46,000

CLOSING DATE: 25 SEPTEMBER 2024

​Purpose of Position

The successful candidate will be required to design, construct, test and debug electronic equipment and circuits. He will need a keen interest in hardware, software and firmware design

​

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide operational support to the plants with technical expertise inLine controls (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Danfoss) WinCC Line management system Automation Communication protocols and networking

  
  

• Optimisation of equipment and processes and implementing continuous improvement

  
  

• Comply with OEM standards and word best practices

  
  

• Exposure to HV LV switchgear, protection and control, earthing

  
  

• Understanding of maintenance philosophies and reliability engineering

  
  

• Project execution and management

  
  

• Problem solving ability

  
  

• Benchmarking and Innovation

  
  

Coaching and skills transfer within teams

​The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree, MTech or BTech in Electrical Engineering

  
  

• 5 years’ experience in relevant industrial automation field

  
  

• Attention to detail and a results driven self-starter are key attributes desired

  
  

• Must be able to apply change management principles effectively

  
  

• Have a structured approach to problem solving

  
  

• Must be inquisitive, confident and have the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

  
  

• Must have good communication skills and have the ability to train and coach staff
